Yes, if you're like me you just read that post title and thought you died and went to heaven.

Today's SavingStar Friday Freebie is 1 (1.2 oz.) Reese's Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Egg.  You must activate it today and the offer expires on 3/30.  These are my absolute favorite Easter candy ever.  I rarely buy things at the store if they're not on sale and I don't have a coupon.  Admittedly, I would pay full price for these but now I don't have to. :-)

Today I headed out to my local King Soopers (3702 Dell Range Blvd. in Cheyenne) and found some additional deals while walking around the store.  I always get a little thrill when I see tearpads (you know, those little pads of coupons on a product display) -- and get even more excited when the associated item is both on sale and something my family will use.

The following items are part of the current March to Savings sale event -- buy any 5 items, get an additional $5 off (in effect, an extra $1 off each item). Possible deal on asparagus?

OK, I fully admit it -- I don't like asparagus.  I've never bought it at the store.  I don't know what is considered a good sale price for asparagus, because it's not something I ever buy.

All that being said, I noticed that SavingStar's "Healthy Offer of the Week" is 20% off a purchase (up to $10) of loose asparagus.  I also noticed tonight that asparagus is on sale for $1.99/lb. at King Soopers.   If you're in the mood for asparagus (ick!), be sure to activate the SavingStar offer before you head out to King Soopers.  You'll still pay $1.99/lb. at the register, but 20% of your purchase price will be credited to your SavingStar account.  While the sale at King Soopers lasts until 3/25, be aware that the SavingStar offer is valid only until 3/24.

Friday Freebie from SavingStar

A while ago I posted about using SavingStar to help reduce your grocery costs.  If you're not familiar with the program, read my post here to learn all about how it works and how to sign up. 

I've not been very diligent about checking SavingStar on a regular basis, but I noticed today that they are offering a Friday Freebie every week.  You can only activate the offer on that Friday, but you are given several days to redeem it.  When you activate the offer and buy the specified item during the time frame using a registered grocery card, the full purchase price is credited to your SavingStar account.

Today's Friday Freebie is 1 (2.2 - 3 oz.) Keebler or Cheez-It Snack Cup.  You must activate it today and the offer expires on 3/27.  My kids love it when I have coupons for these types of snacks -- they think I'm buying them a cool treat, but really I'm packing a cheap or free deal in their lunchboxes!
